The affordability of a community cannot be assessed by just looking at the cost of expenditures. The cost of housing must be viewed in the context of the income that can be earned in the community. Generally, housing costs should not exceed 30 percent of a household's total income. Tampa Bay’s Premier Leadership Event

Each Spring, hundreds of business, government, and nonprofit leaders attended the annual State of the Region Community Event to discuss key indicators driving the prosperity and quality of life for all who live and work in Tampa Bay.

The event celebrates the release of two complimentary reports; the Regional Competitiveness Report, produced by the Tampa Bay Partnership and collaborating partners Community Foundation Tampa Bay and United Way Suncoast, and real-time data from the E-Insights Report, produced by USF Muma College of Business with support from Florida Blue.
